Language access
You have the right to help in your language.
Our languages
We help in English, Spanish and French today. More languages are coming, including Chinese, Russian, Bengali and Haitian Creole.
For other languages, we use a professional phone interpreter at no extra cost.
Your rights with the government
New York City agencies must give you a free interpreter and translated forms (Local Law 30). New York State agencies must too (Executive Law 202-a). Ask for an interpreter at any office or on any call.
