# CARE New York

> CARE (Community Access Resource Enrollment) is a private service in New York that helps people find the public benefits they may qualify for and does the paperwork with them, by phone and text, in English, Spanish and French. It is not a government agency and not a law firm. Government benefits are free; CARE charges only for its help, and clients pay only after an application is submitted.

- Benefits Review: $35 (45 minutes), credited to an application within 30 days

- CARE Keep renewal plans: $9, $19 or $29 per month; yearly = 2 months free; cancel any time
- 50% off for households on SNAP, Medicaid or SSI, or under the poverty line
- Free referrals only (no fee ever): SSI/SSDI, workers' compensation, VA claims, immigration
